THESE 5 THINGS WILL HELP YOU GLOW UP!
We are going to talk about simple yet powerful daily practices that enhance physical, emotional, and mental well-being, setting the foundation for a glow-up.
When we talk about glowing up we have to understand that to not just about where you live, the car you drive or the way you look. Glowing up is also internal. If we are being honest, glowing up is more mental than anything because things have to first manifest in the mind.
The Tea: Morning routines, self-care habits, and mindset shifts are secret to glowing up.
🔥 Habit 1: Start Your Day with Gratitude
Write down 3 things you’re grateful for every morning to set the tone for positivity.
When we allow ourselves to think positive and have gratitude we instantly just feel better. When you want to manifest your dream life you have to do it from a place of feeling good and it starts with your mind. Think about it, when has thinking negative ever really helped you? When you put yourself in a positive way of thinking and full of gratitude vs a negative way of thinking and full of complaining life begins to change in ways you’ve never imagined. Days are just happier, you feel better and somehow God seems to add more things in your life to be grateful for.
🌟 Habit 2: Sis, You Need To Drink Some Water
Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Glowing skin? Yes, please!
glowing skin is great and all but the truth is when you don’t drink enough water your body just wont function properly. We are made up of mainly water ourselves so of course we need water regularly to keep our bodies functioning properly. Drinking enough water is just a game changer. We drink alcohol, smoke, drink sodas full of sugar, eat unhealthy foods… the least we could do is drink water. I remember making myself finish a bottle of water before I reached for anything else and now 9/10 it’s the only thing i reach for. Not drinking water just isn’t a thing in 2025 and beyond. When you know better, you do better. Go get some water, your body will thank you…
💪 Habit 3: Move Your Body Daily
Dance, walk, stretch, or hit the gym. Consistent movement = consistent progress.
It really doesn’t matter what you do as long as you are moving your body. We live in an age now where you don’t even have to go to a gym or a trainer, you can just head over to youtube. There are so many workout videos from different people and there’s always something new to try. 20-30 minutes of moving your body a day just also does wonders for your mind, body and spirit.
I like to do Pilates, cardio and yoga on youtube throughout the week. Let’s just say, I’m never out of shape these days either. Your dream weight or body isn’t as far away as you think. You just need new routines in place and consistency to get to where you want to be.
🧠 Habit 4: Feed Your Mind
Read a book, listen to a podcast, or journal. Growth begins within.
I like to get up everyday at 5am to start my mornings… One of the first things I things I do is read for a least 30 minutes. Reading early in the morning changes my mind frame and mindset so i can make better decisions throughout the day. Much like doing daily gratitude, it helps put me in a positive way of thinking.
You are what you consume, and that’s not just about what you eat. It’s about what you feed your mind as well. Everything you watch, listen to and entertain creates your reality. Let me explain… When you watch toxic relationships eventually you will be in a toxic relationship because you’re putting that into your mind-space. Remember, your mind-space creates your reality.
Start consuming in your mind what you want to be in your reality, be patient and persistent and watch it manifest before your very eyes. Sounds a little woo woo but the people who have manifested their dream lives, careers, and bodies will tell you it’s true.
✨ Habit 5: Skincare is Self-Care
Develop a simple skincare routine that works for you. Your skin will thank you!
Ummmm are we still not taking care of our skin? Ladies as we get older our skin needs a solid skincare routine more and more. I started investing in my skincare in 2020. It’s been a regular thing in my life and I only wished that I started sooner. As we get older we start to loose vital things we need like collagen for example. With a solid skincare routine we can add those things back in to keep our skin plump and soft. Skincare is selfcare and selfcare is self love.
My skincare routine time has become so therapeutic to me… It’s a time where I’m in the mirror just loving on me. I like to say affirmations and really spend time with myself while doing my skincare. I recently started investing in better tools for my skincare ad girl it cost me $500 for a little device. I haven’t used it much but I think we should do a little review here at The Glow Up Cult. Investing in your skincare routine is like investing in yourself. If you don’t already have a skincare routine, get one and watch how it changes your skin and confidence.
